Over 500 Abians benefit from Sam Onuigbo Entrepreneurship Development Program




Beneficiaries of the federal government Entrepreneurship program have been charged to utilize the opportunity provided for them to add value to their families and the society at large.

The member representing Ikwuano Umuahia federal constituency, who is veying for senate, APC Abia Central, Honourable Sam Onuigbo gave the charge during the graduation ceremony of over five hundred people from the constituency who benefited from a three day development training he organised in collaboration with federal co-operative college Oji River held in Umuahia.

Onuigbo represented by his  chief liaison officer,  pastor Abraham Osundu charged the beneficiaries to go home and put into practice what they have learnt.
According to him, the training was put together as  part of president Buhari's effort to reduce poverty and ensure people are busy with meaningful ventures. 

He added that many people have been trained in fashion designing, poultry, fish farming among others.
While explaining that the program is not for those in the same party with Onuigbo, Pastor Osundu maintained that the beneficiaries are people form all corners of Ikwuano Umuahia irrespective of the political parties they belong to.
He added that the empowerment program is a promise made to empower people and over one thousand five people have been trained in fashion designing, poultry, fish farming among others.

Onuigbo said unemployment is endemic and every adult has a role to ensure that the difficult times did not occupy their time.
Some of the beneficiaries, Humphrey Eze Chigozie from Umuahia North and Glory Akum-Oru from Obuohia Ibere Ikwuano appreciated the facilitator of the training, Sam Onuigbo for his benevolence. They also prayed to God to grant Onuigbo success in his Abia Central senatorial ambition.
Meanwhile, each of the beneficiary received a stipend for start up.
In his lecture, Mr Emeka Awom taught the beneficiaries on how to manage fish farming from fingerlings stage to time of harvest, as well as how to market their fish to avoid waste.
